As an update to my port insertion...

It hurts. Not just an achy pain, but a real pain that is so bad I cannot even move my arm.
And it is right where my bra strap is so I can't have the strap up on that side.
The doctor is seeing me late this evening to check on it.

Ya know... The Beast is really starting to tick me off.

Time for me to make another Christmas Story analogy.

Picture me as Ralphie and the Beast as Skut Farkus.

Take that, you big bully! I love that movie.

I hope you and your doc got your pain figured out and under control.

Happy Friday!

Kelly I think we were separated at birth! Isn't that movie the best?!

My doc isn't sure what is wrong with my port. But tonight it has started to swell and turn pink. I will wait until morning - could be lymphedema - but I know it could be an infection too. Not sure if there is anyone to call at his office on the weekends but I will pop a Levaquin if it looks bad.

Thanks for asking and YOU have a GREAT weekend!!

Hmmmm swelling and pink....THAT can't be a good thing. I hope you get the cause nailed down soon.

Can you do any LE massage in the area or is it too tender? It might help to even just clear the nodes by your neck and do a gentle clearing.

I hope the weekend brings only better news!

Oh yah, I watch that movie non-stop at Christmas time. Most people watch "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Miracle on Whatever Street". Not me. It's my tradition to drink a glass of wine and wrap presents on Christmas Eve while watching the Christmas Story marathon.

Well CRAP on the port update. There should be someone on-call at your doctor's office over the weekend. My stuff always seems to happen on weekends and/or holidays.

Hope you feel better soon!

I watch the other ones too- but when Christmas eve comes, I keep TBS on continuously for the ENTIRE A Christmas Story marathon.
People think this is odd. I don't- you don't- what is the matter with them?!

What's the matter with them????

They're not US!!!!
